A Lavender Sweater with Cables, Color Blocks and Cashmere
Deep violet, a pale lavender melange and milky white. The palette looks fresh and still sits easily with denim, graphite, black or chocolate. Each color has its own knit: a raised cable, smooth jersey and a ribbed half-cardigan stitch, each with its own rhythm.
The panels are joined with intarsia, which knits different colors and stitches into one continuous fabric. The transitions stay clean and the pattern reads as a single piece. The lavender cable panel is knit from mouliné yarn, plies of several shades twisted together, which gives it depth.
The yarn is Italian, 90% Extra Fine merino wool and 10% cashmere, so this lavender sweater is warm yet light enough for every day. The fit is a soft oversized one, with dropped shoulders; wear it with trousers, a skirt or relaxed jeans, on its own or over a shirt.
